So Fall Out Boy are said to release a new song titled “Centuries” on Monday and according to Pete Wentz, “It sounds different than any of the other stuff. If anything, I think that we’re far more open now to doing something that’s, like, probably outside of what people would consider our genre or who we are“.
According to Gigwise, BBC Radio 1 DJ, Zane Lowe, has confirmed that the track will premiere on his show on Monday night.
Later on Thursday, Fall Out Boy posted a five-second YouTube clip which fans suspect to be Morse code. I last read Morse code in 1875, so I’m a bit rusty at decoding this, however there is huge speculation that it spells out “Centuries” – the name of the upcoming track. Could this be the first single off a forthcoming secret album – a move not that far off from what they did with “Save Rock and Roll“.
Fall Out Boy are scheduled to perform at the I Heart Joburg music festival on Saturday – reckon they will give South African fans a sneak peak of the track/s from an upcoming album?
The video is completely black and just a few beeps can be heard – not much to go with, but give it your best shot…
Oh, their Website has also gone all black, as well as their Facebook and Twitter profile images…it’s all very mysterious….
