Imhoff Farm is a quaint little conglomerate of activities nestled between Noordhoek and Kommetjie. There’s a farm yard, camel rides and snakes. Lots and lots of snakes (in a snake park). There’s a proud peacock that owns the place and horses that roam in the back, there’s face-painting for the kids and paint ball for the thrill seekers. There’s a restaurant, a stage, a lawn to chill on, a bakery and restaurant.
Basically, Imhoff Farm is the perfect family outing and they’re open seven days a week. You can eat and shop or relax to the sound of local musicians. The kids can venture to Higgeldy Piggeldy Farmyard to pet the rabbits, lambs and goats. There are also chickens, geese, ducks, emus, alpaca, cows, pigs and guinea pigs.
The Snake park is a reptile sanctuary and rehabilitation centre and if you’re brave enough, they may just let you handle one of the snakes.
Whether you are an equestrian or simply a beginner rider keen to venture along the coast on horseback, then you will enjoy one of the guided beach rides with it’s scenic views. And if you’re not too keen on the horses, there are always camels willing to take you on a roundabout tour of the farm.
Don’t forget to stop by the shop for some organic produce or the famous breads or cheese!
