The Gaslight Anthem have just released a music video for the title track from their upcoming fifth studio album, “Get Hurt“. This is the second single off the album, which is set to be released on Monday, 11 August 2014.
The video features the band performing on a small stage in a bar filled with randoms. The choreography gets a bit strange when patrons starts dancing as if they’re in some sort of weird trance. It comes to an end with a pretty young lady losing her mind in a pile of feathers. Not sure what to make of the imagery, but the track itself is the kind of ballad you’d expect from this band.
Lead singer Brian Fallon said earlier this year when discussing the sound of the new album, “I wanted to figure out how far you can go without pissing people off” and regarding the single “Get Hurt“, Fallon said “The song itself is similar to the feeling of a wreck you see coming, but long past the point you can avoid it”.
I’m not sure how this track could piss anyone off, it’s not a far cry from the Gaslight Anthem people have heard and love.
